ike in a time long forgotten – but what if I told you it’s not? This is for real and this is now. This is the Leksand folk costume that originates from Dalarna in Sweden, one of few folk costumes that can be paired togehter with a version for children.

The child version is called ‘Gulkolten’ – a yellow costume characteristic for Leksand that goes together with a red apron, a shawl and a bonnet. Dalarna is the region in Sweden with the highest density of traditional folk costumes, and the Leksand costume is especially known for its vibrant colors and beautiful embroidery typical of the area.
