Native Scandinavian from Sweden at Gettlinge ancient site in Öland, Sweden 🇸🇪

Gettlinge is one of the largest ancient sites located in Öland with an area of approximately 2 kilometers. There is about 250 burial mounds in this area from the Bronze Age and Iron Age. This impressively ship setting is 30 meters long with 23 erected granite stones that also contains several fertility bowl pits, a common find from the Bronze Age.

During the 1900s some of the burial mounds were excavated and the best-preserved grave is consisted of ten limestones and a double layer of cover stones. The deceased had been buried with his dog, two spears, a shield and spurs. Remember who you are 🌿
