In the upcoming series we will show the rich variations of our Scandinavian Folk Costumes, mainly with Swedish roots. Scandinavia has a long history of traditional folk costumes, and back in the days each parish had their own design in the peasant society.

There is about 840 different varieties of folk costumes just in Sweden – and did you know there’s a Scandinavian tradition to sew our own traditional folk costume from the area where your kin originates from?

The old tradition of wearing folk costumes is slowly coming back again, and today they are often worn at occasions such as weddings, during our Scandinavian traditions, National Day, folk festivals etc.
